Looking forward to our future
While we celebrate the past and what God has done, we also look ahead at what He has yet to do. Learn more about the Greater Project and how you can be a part of it.
Sensory Room
A space specially designed for children with a variety of needs to allow them to explore, engage, rejuvenate in a calming environment.
Time in a sensory room helps children improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing, as well as their fine and gross motor skills.
By providing a sense of calm and comfort, a sensory room helps children to self-regulate their behaviours, which helps improve focus.
An improved focus can make a significant impact on not only their ability to learn, but in how they engage with their parents, siblings, teachers, and peers.
A space like this is of course so meaningful for the children, but also for the parents. This safe space will give them the opportunity to have respite and rest whenever needed. We want to help meet the needs of families, at Little Peoples, in our community, and at Peoples Church. Through a continued partnership with McMaster’s Ron Joyce Children’s centre , this space can become a hub where Occupational therapists and Physical therapists can meet families right here onsite.
Indoor Playground
Our new 2,500 sq. ft. children’s area will feature: A Large, 2-storey, indoor playplace for preschoolers and school age children, Separate softplay area for infants and toddlers.
This new space offers children a great environment to engage and explore with others, participate in free play, and increase their gross motor development..
These areas will allow the children to have a different environment that is always full of fun!
Elevator Access
Accessible 2nd level with newly created lobby and corridors that will connect both upper level wings of the Daycare.
We are very passionate about having our building accessible for all people. We want to be able to provide fully for our community. As we strive to meet children, families, and staff where they are at, we know that our building design and layout has inherent limitations. Currently 6 of our 10 classrooms are located on a second floor which you can only gain access through a stairwell. These 6 classrooms represent 138 children.
Café
A parents lounge and viewing area that will offer refreshments and relaxation while your children play.
